What a mighty Word on this past Sunday as Pastor Jackson continued his message from the previous week encouraging us that there is something great coming out of you. There are times in our lives when what God is doing in us does not line up with what is going on around us. God has a way of bringing out the best in us in some of the worse situations or even locations.
The story of the birth of Jesus Christ is an amazing story! Think about all that Mary had to endure during her pregnancy. It reminds us that when God places a gift in you everybody is not going to be excited and the journey can be a struggle, but the latter is always greater than the former. The gift of Jesus Christ that God placed in Mary was not given to her because she had done everything right, but she was chosen by God to bring forth a child that would be a blessing to the world.
Please don’t allow your past mistakes to hinder or block the future miracle that God wants to do through you. People and problems will make us feel as if what God has placed in us has no power, but understand that the gift that God has given you through the Holy Spirit has the power to change lives and situations. Could it be the reason why the opposition seems so strong is because you’re closer to your destination than you realize? When God has a special anointing on you and greatness in you, then you can expect disappointments.
There are seasons when no matter what God may do in your life, some people are just not going to appreciate it. These are the seasons where God says don’t focus on the problem but rather trust the process. Everything God is doing in you is not for everyone to see because they wouldn’t believe the greatness that is about to come out of you. People will try to define you. Situations will try to confine you, but God is trying to refine you. Don’t allow your location to keep you from giving God celebration.
Wherever God blesses you is a good place to bless Him. You may not have met God in church, but thank God you met Him wherever it was. Continue to nurture what God has put in you so that when the time comes you will be able to handle your blessing. While people may try to minimize what is in you, God wants you to continue maximizing your time and gift.
Family, as we approach a New Year, God is setting you up to do a new thing through the new you. Let’s continue growing and expect greatness in the grace of God!!
